Default I can now see why folks have sheetrock on their ceilings

It's fast, easy, and cheap. The addition has beaded ceilings with exposed rafters and beams. I am in the process of staining and sealing. Up and down the 12' ladder sun up to sun down. We have the same thing in the main house, but don't recall it being so much work - of course that was over 20 years ago when I did that. Pictures will follow when I'm done. After the last couple of weekends, Ann thinks my calves look like Popeye's arms.

    Those ladders are killers. I'm having fun also.....up, down....up down....up down.............................................. ...
The good part is I finished the ladder work on the porch with only the flooring to finish. Can't wait until it's done. Of course then I have the rest of the house to paint.
Keep up the courage Randy one day you'll be able to sit down and admire your work and all the effort it took.

I hope you checked out where the sheetrock came from before you bought it. Some of it from China is causing MAJOR health issues in homes where it was installed. In south Florida, where my In-laws have a home, there are houses that have been condemned that have the Chinese drywall. Many are now held by banks and have been selling for pennies on the dollar to folks who have to completely strip them clean and redo the insides. My in-laws have bought and flipped several of those.
