Well, it took a while but I got my kayak up on a sawhorse, and tried something fun. Painting! Bought some krylon fusion and went ahead with making my own decal. The decal ended up bleeding a bit, so I had to take up my brush and paint to fix up the lines. All in all, the decal came out fantastic. Now to just get hull on water and all will feel complete.

Cool. Let us know how well that paint sticks to the kayak. I am curious. I have seen many paint jobs that peel or scratch off very quickly.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D
Looks good!. I'm with Slabsrus wondering if it'll stay. Hope it does.

I hope the decal stays too. As a final precautionary measure I flamed the area until the body exhibited a sweaty look, this was done to facilitate the plastic into bonding with the paint even more-so. Time will be the one to tell.
Looks good.
