Hello Missouri Anglers

How's it going everyone? Just wanted to say hi. Moved to Missouri in March, stationed at Whitman AFB. Been fishing the base lakes with my son just about everyday after work. I tell you, my 6 year old is addicted. I'm not much of a fisherman really, hoping to figure out how and find a place to catch a few for the table. Well, have a good one everybody, seems like a great site.

welcome from Washington and thanks for what you do! you sure are stationed in a great location with truman lake right down the road. you might try to get together with some of the locals around truman then hitch a ride with them to get ya started. you'll be a pro in no time, and your young-un will have a blast fishing for those truman slabs!

The folks on here will steer you in the right direction, in the mean time you may want to get yourself a missouri department of conservation map, I believe it's available online and at any mdc office. Lots of good places to fish close by your area. Good luck and remember " we like fish pics "
