that is a great looking livewell...........but the new zebra mussels laws prevent transporting............
I just made my 1st livewell and I think it could have came out better but live and learn.
It plugs right into the same plug my charger uses and the timer should help save on the battery.
I've always just used ice but I wanted the option to keep the fish alive so I can release my catch if I don't have enough to dirty a knife lol.
Looks like y'all keep a great forum and I hope to stay a while.
Thanks BigTat

I believe he means transporting the water. Even just going home you are supposed to drain and put them on ice. All water is supposed to be drained at the ramp. Up here in Iowa the law reads the boat must be dry for 24 hours or be washed between lakes.
Those Zebra mussels are something else. I like your live well.
FISH ON
Slick very slick. You could keep minners for a good long time in it.

Coolers are ok but water splashes out during travel.
I would disagree. I use an old Coleman cooler as my livewell and don't have any water leaking out anytime. My lid locks in place and I normally keep it closed, even when empty.
I always hose out my livewell at home after I clean my fish. Typically I drive an hour or so from the lake to home and clean my catch at home. I keep water in the livewell all the way home and drain it in my driveway. I don't buy ice.
