You have listed some good things to be thankful for,we all have so much
to be thankful for,but in my opinion your most important one is the most
important one.
As we near the Holiday of Thanksgiving, I just thought it would be great to share some of the things that we are thankful for.
I'm thankful for:
My beautiful Family! (wife, 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren)
FREEDOM (thanks to all the veterans and those on active duty)
Good Health
Great Friends
Time to fish.
Most important, Jesus for being a wonderful savior!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

I'm thankful for my beautiful wife, my family, great memories of fishing with my grandfather, great times fishing now though they'll never be like they were with Papa but great none the less. I'm thankful that I get to serve my country and most of all I'm thankful that God is watching over all of us.

Counselman, you pretty much summed it up. I'm thankful for being born to my mother, who drug me to church in my early years, she gave me as long as you live under my roof routine. I'm a rotten sucker, but I know write from wrong.
Just being born in this country is a great blessing.
Thanksgiving is my moist favorite holiday. I enjoy my family around the dinner table.
I couldn't even begin to list them all with without breaking up. Thanks for the post. I guess under the present circumstances, it would have to be Ed Moes and Crappie.com. Oh there are so many, but that is the most relevant to the circumstance. Thanks, ED!!!!!

Drugs during our youth! All around us.Originally Posted by fishingpox

The other day, someone at a store in our town
said that a methamphetamine lab had been found in an
old farmhouse in the adjoining county and he asked me
rhetorical question, ''Why didn't we have a drug
problem when you and I were growing up?''
I replied: I had a drug problem when I was young:
I was drug to church on Sunday morning. I was drug to
church for weddings and funerals.
I was drug to family reunions and community socials no matter the weather.
I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful
to adults.
I was also drug to the woodshed when I disobeyed
my parents, told a lie, brought home a bad report card,
did not speak with respect, spoke ill of the
teacher or the preacher, or if I didn't put forth
my best effort in everything that was asked of me.
I was drug to the kitchen sink to have my mouth
washed out with soap if I uttered a profane
four-letter word.
I was drug out to pull weeds in mom's garden and
flower beds and cockleburs out of dad's fields.
I was drug to the homes of family, friends, and
neighbors to help out some poor soul who had no
one to mow the yard, repair the clothesline, or chop
some firewood; and, if my mother had ever known
that I took a single dime as a tip for this
kindness, she would have drug me back to the woodshed.
Those drugs are still in my veins; and they affect
my behavior in everything I do, say, and think.
They are stronger than cocaine, crack, or heroin; and,
if today's children had this kind of drug problem,
America would be a better place
