    Default Gardner 5/1

Buddy and I fished Gardner for a few hours this morning after we got off work. We started fishing for bass but kept catching crappie so we started fishing for them. A small suspending jerkbait and a 1/16oz black homemade crappie jig caught us a bunch of crappie, bass, bluegill, sunfish, and a white bass. He kept about 2 dozen of them, mostly males but a few females in the mix. They were up around the docks or very close to them and pretty aggressive when they bit. Water temp was 57.3-58.2 from one end to the other which is about 4 degrees colder than last week.

The crappie used to spawn on the damn close to the water outlet.
