Give Jack a call 573-374-1337 and get ya some slab busters and he may send you some extra garlic to try on other jigs...the stuff he has is definatly potent.
ps when you use the slab busters you wont be useing other types of jigs very often cause they work very well.

Bugs a buddy of mine uses garlic oil he'll put the jigs in a ziploc bag and put some oil in the bag. I think he buys it at a jig making company? Not to sure.

You want BIG garlic scent ... try Crossbow's Hawg Sauce. Yes, it's primarily advertised for Bass anglers, but it's real powerful stuff. You can get a variety of application styles (gel, water based, oil based) and there's the "sauce" alone... or "sauce dye", in several colors. Here, take a look :

I have a bottle of the 2oz Chartreuse Dye Sauce, but haven't gotten the chance to really try it out on Crappie. And I keep the bottle in a extra heavy duty zip-lock because you really don't want this stuff to get on anything that you don't want to dye, or have smelling like garlic for years .... LOL!!

i use regular old chomper spray on my jigs that don't have scent "built in" to them. it works great and it has the benefit of being made right here in MO.

Me too. I'm excited about it. I been watching the weather. Been a long time. I just hope another slab dont yank a new high dollar pole off in the river like last time. Course wouldnt matter, you'd just take another pole, and snag it off the bottom, and use it to catch another slab. Hahahahah!!

    See ya this weekend Johnny.
