Very nice.
Friday evening i hit El Dorado with my daughter, fished the north channel for a bit and found a big wiper that would play, water temp was around 50deg. Daughter was getting cold so we headed north, way way north up the Walnut to get out of the wind, untill a log jam prevented up from going farther. Fished laydowns in 4-5ft of water, water temp was 57deg and found several keeper crappie willing to play. Made the half hour boat drive back to the main lake and fished the channel edge for the rest of the evening. Wasn't there for 5 minutes and got a good tap, pulled a huge crappie to the surface, just to see the throw my lure. Went back at it and a minute or two later got another thump, this time i had the net ready and landed a monster crappie at 15.5in. Kept working the area and got several more crappie and a walleye just shy of 21in. It was getting pretty dark and cold so we called it a night. Let all the fish go, so i could catch them again when they are bigger.
Saturday morning i took my whole crew back out there and fished from about 11am-2pm. My fish from the previous night disappeared and we were lucky to boat 4 crappie with 2 that were barely keepers. No really pattern, they were very scattered. Everyone else that i talked to were not have any better luck. Kids had a good time, just need to vacuum cheetos and oreos crumbs out of the boat carpet. :-)
