Glad ya got it going, sounds like a good day to me! Thanks for the post, and hope to see plenty more!
I put my boat together over the winter and then had trouble
with the outboard I had bought. Come to find out someone had
removed the vro pump and didn't plug the upper cylinder port
behind the fuel pump. I rebuilt the pump and it blew up from all
the compression of both cylinders and tight gaskets from the new
kit. Live and learn right. I got everything working now and it will
finally idle. I took it out and did a little scanning with the side imaging
and found a ton of fish along the south edge of the channel in Bledsoe
near the point. Caught several 10-11" and a lot of shorts. The bite was a little
slow and they were close to the bottom at 12-16' deep. I slow trolled .5 mph
and less with single rigs. Black and purple worked the best but didn't try
everything. It was nice to be out again.

Glad to see you got the boat up and running. I'm tied up at work for the next week but will back at it next week end.
When you say Bledsoe are you talking about the old channel or the main channel?
God bless Charlie Brewer and Bobby Garland.
glad you got the boat running and even got to catch a mess! good times!
Thanks everyone. It was the old channel. I just don't consider the other because of the no boating zone. There were a few boats from bouys to the point that were catching fish though.
Thanks for your report. Glad you got your boat working and got to do some catchin'
Nothing worse than a boat that doesn't run right. Congrats on finding and catching dinner.
nice to see your on the water, sounds like a real challenge on the motor though, congrats on getting it going.
