    Default River crappie

I've got a reservoir off the Mississippi River that's connected by one short channel that I can fish. Now I'm confused on where to start, considering I'm used to fishing lakes. A lot of the reservoir is about 20-30 ft deep with no structure on the bottom. The side closest to the channel going to the river has flooded willow trees. By the flooded willow trees I can see the tops of brush sticking out that's in about 9-15 ft of water. I'm confused on where to start. My instincts tell me to go to the brush since it's not far from the willows and the willows is probably where they will spawn.

I'd for sure hit the channel brush 1st from the mouth to the back.

I'd hit every snag, stump & laydown on that channel.
