Smile Had to work for them

I was on Pomme de Terre Sunday I got my 15 keepers but had to work for them all day. Minnows don't work tryed 4 or 5 jig colors the one they wanted was black and chartreuse. Had to cut part of the tail off because they were hitting short, just the tip, missed a lot of fish before shorting the jig. Got most of them about 15ft the bites was very lite. Had some very nice ones.

Good idea for the change up on the short bites. I'll have to keep that in arsenal. When getting short bites, I often drop my weight from 1/16 to 1/32. Seems to allow them to suck the bait in farther.

Don't forget you left your buddy hanging with only a drum to show for the day.
Crappie don't sleep, is that why I'm so tired?
