Nope, probably best all around size.
Figured I would post this on the main forum to get more opionions. I'm looking at getting some BnM pro staffers but was wondering if the 14ft would be too much for my 14ft boat any advice is appriciated

I used to say I wouldn't have any longer than 12 ft. but.............I have all 14's now and like them a lot better.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

For trolling or jigging?
For pullin cranks you need different lengths, a 4ft. difference in length is suitable unless you run planer boards, which is a pain.

Get you a set of 14's for spider rigging. Then get 2 8's and 2 10's in the Pinnacal limit rods from Grizzly or Monks. 4 poles for 60 bucks. They work good for pulling or Longlining. Those matched with your 14's would give you plenty of separation.

If Im allowed 8 poles I run 20,14,10,5 off each side

No necessarily true. For cranks, I run all the same length (8.5 ft). Two straight back (set short), two 30 degrees out (medium distance back), two 90 degrees out (long ways back). If I have a partner go with me, then I will add a planer board (on a mast) with 2-4 more rods on each side (also 8.5).
