Guess I should have said 10 to 15 ft. deep in 15 to 30 ft. of water. Vertical jigging black and chartreuse slab busters. The water temp was 44.8.
A perfect day on Twain, the fish were cooperating, the weather was nice and the eagles were flying all around. Fished for about 21/2 hours this morning and the fish were biting great. Probably caught 75 or so crappie with about 30 or more 10 inches or over but nothing over 12 inchers. Kept a limit of 10 inchers for dinner and released the rest. We have been catching a few at Twain for a while but usually end up with around 15 or so between three of us. Was by myself today and the fish just went wild, was fun for a change to have a good day.

Haven't been to Twain since last year but reports like this sure make me want to come back!
Congrats on sneaking out there and putting the hammer to them.
nice, finally good reports from twain
nice report, contrats on the day, them ole slabbusters are hard to beat.
Congrats Catman!!! Louise and I were out yesterday as well. We started back in South Fork and worked our way toward Middle Fork. We fished minners mostly, ranging 8 to 12 feet down in about 20 fow. The fish turned on for about an hour and we caught a lot of dinks and 4 keepers over 10". Then they turned off as quick as they turned on. We were thankful for what we had...it was the first time in several outings where we caught more than just a few. Water temp only got up to 41.
Were you fishing Indian Creek? We were going to go there but opted for South Fork.
Mark
Hey Mark, good to hear from you. Yes we were in Indian creek. Just got back again today and me and a buddy kept 2 limits and probably caught 40 or 45 over 10 inches. Indian creek is hot right now so get after em. Give me a call sometime and we will meet up at Indian.
