Roanoke Rapids Lake report

Decided to take a break from deer hunting and went fishing instead. I went to see if the white perch were schooling on the dam end of the lake yet. Found a ton of fish on the south side of the lake in 31ft. Had to weed out a bunch of small fish but we kept 25 for frying and 2 stripers around 22". Water temp was 56. Caught the fish vertical jigging a 1/4 oz silver spoon on the bottom. My Lowrance HDS touch was key for us staying on the schools.Another boat came by who had done real well on blue cats in the 20lb range.
