Kayak Trip Report, Paint Rock River

I meet up with E Limestone Dude and alexavathis morning at Hwy 431 and the PaintRock River. I wanted to try something new. We single poled jigs on laydowns with minimalsuccess. I ended up with 8 Crappie that would measure and maybe a dozen throwbacks. The water was 66 degrees, clear and down about three to four feet fromit’s normal low during the summer. I tried a little bit of everything, butnever got on a color, depth or pattern. Still a great fishing trip, just alittle short on the catching, LOL.

I hate I bailed on you guys so early. Took the kids to the pumpkin farm. I'm going in the AM if anyone wants to go. not sure where. waiting to hear from anyone else.

Want to try Barron Fork? I plan to make a short trip at daylight. I don't expect to limit, but might pick up 10 or 15 nice fish.
