Default Light on day marker out for over 6 months

    Hey Guys,

Have not been able to do any fishing this summer, but I'm looking forward to this fall.

I don't know if any of you guys go out on Monroe at night, but if you do, you may have noticed that the red number 8 (4s) is finally lit again, after being burned out since I can remember; easily six to 9 months.

Just as an FYI, In mid august I opened a thread asking for advise about who to contact and got the following advice:

According to both NOAA charts and Navionics this is a Coast Guard maintained ATN and should have a "fixed red light". The entire St. Johns River is under the Jacksonville Sector of District 7. Call (904) 564-7500 and ask to speak to the Aids To Navigation section. They will have a trailerable boat that should be inspecting those ATN on a regular basis and will repair it.

So that is what I did, and noticed a couple of weeks ago it was back on.

Just passing along what seems to be some very sound advice....

Here is the original thread, for those that might be interested..............

    Thanks for the reply fishin813.

I am disappointed that LEO and pro captains pass that regularly, and nobody did anything. It was out so long I basically accepted the fact that it would never work again.

It's true, that sometimes it just takes a phone call.....................
