I would recommend a "cargo light" on your truck - or if you don't have a truck, a "backup" light on your SUV/car. My truck came with a cargo light, and it is wonderful to have.
Do any of you disconnect your trailer plug before you back into the lake? Are there any type of lights that can be mounted to tow vehicle or trailer to aid in the unloading and loading after dark??

I put me floating light on the front of my boat and use it like a headlight
Most the launches I use are lit well enough. But you could use a clip-on reflector light attached to one of your boat/auto batteries.

IF you use your Mirrows for backing, A 12 volt flood mounted on your bumper , down low BUT out of the way,, hooked to a switch,, works great for backing
This thing looks like cats meow for backing a trailer or just plain backing up. I've been considering one. I think all a person would have to do is mount it on a couple of magnets. That way, if you have a truck or a car you could attach it to a tailgate or a trunk.
That is of course,, you vehical has any metal in the back.:p

If you put it under your bumper, be prepared to replace it often.
The magnet idea is good. Portable and could make a handy work light. Could plug it into the cig lighter outlet. Store it in the tow vehicle and use it when you need it.
Currently a non-fishing slacker! (not for too much longer)
i have a clip on light i got at auto zone and replaced the plug so it plugs into my trailer light plug on the truck and clip in on the tailgate before i load the boat. lights up boat real well for loading and lights inside the boat real well for putting stuff away. also reminds me to plug the trailer lights in before i leave
good idea ken more the merrier

Alot of fishermen, raise up their trailor lights, so that they don't have to disconnect the trailor lights, while unloading and loading. Or they replace them with submersible lights. Either is a good idea to do. Want to raise mine up for next year.
