Where might one purchase this bonehead? Anyone tried shooting docks with it?
I’ve been using a new braid for a few months now and I really like it. Over the years (20+) I’ve tried most every line that comes down the pike. All kinds and colors of mono, fluorocarbon, Infused mono, mono wrapped fluorocarbon, copolymers, braid… even thermally fused ‘superlines’ … always looking for that perfect balance of strength, sensitivity, low memory, limpness, abrasion resistance, knot strength and high vis. I’m not asking for much, I know. I tried them all but would eventually go back to mono… for the lesser of evils I guess. I never did like the line memory and now that I’m using braid, I’m not crazy about the stretch. I like the feel of the direct contact with the structure or the fish. Even though sometimes it is still more like an electric shock to get a thump. After crappie fishing for so many years to jump like an electric shock cracks up my tourney partner. lol So in this last TSC tournament, I had all four of my rods rigged with Bonehead Braid. I prefer very high vis, I guess you’d say, so I like the bright orange. I have used the white, yellow and green, but I fish low light and all kinds of weather. I want high vis, all the time. The white is surprisingly bright and according to biologists, yellow may be less visible in our stained water. But, if a bass will bite an A-rig with freakin 6 wires on it, crappie also don’t mind the laser orange pointer leading them to my jig. Lol I use a simple loop knot like I used on mono and cut it with clippers. I also use some kid’s Fiskar scissors ($1.50 at Target) that someone on the forum recommended. All in all I’m a happy man now. J If I fish hard all day, before the next trip I’ll cut off about 10-15’ line. Just to keep the line fresh and bright.
It’s not perfect, nothing is… but it’s got my vote for purty durn close. Give it a try, I hope you like it too.

Go ahead crappie slab...........Make my day!!!!
Interesting....I assume your useing the 20 lb / 4 lb dia. ?
Oh...now I see they have 12 lb / 2 lb dia....
TexExp, I couldn't agree with you more! I put the orange on 2 & yellow on 1 just to check the difference in visibility of the 2 & the yellow is just as good a contrast to the dingy Lake Palestine water I fish & like you said, the strength & limpness & sensitivity of the line makes it "almost" perfect.
Crappienapper, you can go to Custom Bait and Tackle Tyler TX | Bonehead Tackle | We sell the best fishing bait that will help you catch more fish! & check it out.
Hey guys thanks for the nice words. I'm glad I'm putting products out that you guys are enjoying. I want to thank everyone for the orders and supporting the bonehead family and friends. We are up on texoma doing a little barn door slab slinging. Stay tuned for a fishing report!!
Power pro 15# sometimes slips through jig eye, does the 12# b-power do the same?
150 yd is a small spool, that is a lot of backing for my linecounter trolling rods. Any plans to offer it in 300 yd plus spools?
Hey bud have never had any problems with the line slipping out of the eye. I can supply 300yard spools price will be higher.
I had some jigs that didn't have the jig eye completely closed where I would lose the jig with my surgeons loop still intact. Once I realized some of those particular type jigs didn't have the eye properly closed and it allowed the line to slip through the gap I would just give the jig eye a extra squeeze with the pliers before using those jigs.
Now that I mainly use cross lock snap swivels I don't need to close those jig eyes since the jig eye gap isn't open enough to let the snap swivel come out.
