    Default Is Dead Lake really dead.


    Put in this morning at dead lake. This is what I saw as the sun rised.

    trolled from shore to shore twice without one bite. Never have seen it this way. It was like this all the way to just south of the island. Counted only 10 crab traps on the south end of the lake. Fished the north end but a lot of floaters out there. Did manage to pick up these 2 reds. But to small for keepers. And 1 Speck, released.

    Man that sucks, looks like the water level is up.
    Maybe with all the rain there is some pollution runoff or too much salt content being pushed in there.
    Nice lookin reds though, I was plannin on headin up that way soon but not if it's like that.

    Just temporary my good man.................just temporary!!!!! water needs to warm up 4 to 5 degrees and it's on!! A little breeze, some 84's for the daytime high, and a few 70 degree mornings and it will be pulling time!!

    Are you seeing floating dead crappie on Crescent? That is really disheartening.

    No dead crappie. Just a lot of floating vegetation. A lot of line shaking to remove it.
