Default On a dark and Crappie Night......

We finally got out for a bit last night to do some night fishing under the lights. Caught a few, learned a lot, and a had a good time. We probably ended up with around 12-15 keepers. The water temp was still 80 degrees which surprised me. Most fish we caught either using ice rods and a flasher over the edge of the boat, or a minnow and bobber. Here is a few pics of my neighbor and his fish, he caught all of the bigger ones tonight.

Good deal, with the 100 deg. temps, looks like that may be what I'll be doing this weekend.

Flashers are used for vertical jigging typically thru the ice, some boats also use flashers as they won't lose the bottom at speeds like sonar often does.

Correct... Basically ice fishing gear, it lets you see both your lure and the fish. It can be lots of fun, or not so fun if they get the lockjaw.
