Default Neely Henry cranking help please

I am a newbi to pushing/pulling but have the rig and need to get schooled on how to find the right ledges. In the gravel sloughs I can only catch cats...lol

Tried cranking a couple of times on Neely Henry but didn't have any luck. It works better in lakes that have a higher population of white crappie. Black crappie just dont seem to go for cranking. I fished Neely Henry this past weekend for 4 hours spider rigging and we caught 22. No big fish just some eaters. All we caught was black crappie.

We were fishing along the river channel edges from Canoe Creek to Shoal Creek. Caught them 12-14 feet deep mostly on minnows.
