    Default some fresh whisker pics!

well the blue catfish spawn is almost over on the big muddy and the fishing is finally heating up again. went out last night and hit some deep holes with cut shad. caught 8 total in just a few hours. 45 and 25 were the biggest, the rest were around 10lbs. bout time to hit it hard! sorry for the low quality pics, I was fishing solo and its a little tough to control a big ol bluecat while waiting for the timer on my camera phone!

No, Arky, not this time! I gotta a little lazy bone in me and those fish all were released to fight another day... I still have some fish in the freezer from winter time fishing and I think those muddy water bluecats taste way better when they come out of cold water! plus I need to leave some fish in my holes so 'ol Rippin' Lips has a few to catch when he comes visit me!

yeah, I agree. unless someone is fishing with me that wants some fish to clean, I CPR almost everything in the summer months, I keep the smaller flatties in the spring and fall and my favorite time to fish for and eat bluecats are in the cold months. the fishin in the winter is just plain easy, once ya find em, they are there all winter long! come on, November!
