    Default Love and Hate

Guys I love to fish but I absolutely hate it in HOT weather. Like playing golf when it is hot. I loose all composure and can't wait to find a cool place. I hardly ever get real cold, therefore fall and winter are my favorite times to fish. It seems in the summer after fishing a couple of hours I am pooped and loose any edge that I feel I have. My trips for the remaining month and a half will be few and far between. Come on cooler weather......crappie1133

I've become accustomed to the Florida heat, but the one day I forgot my hat....my balding melon sure paid the price!

As you get older those all day trips seem to become longer and longer. Now after a few hours no matter what the temperature I am ready to call it a day.

I still love to fish even when the mercury passes 100+ as long as Crappie are biting. Took a reporter fishing from the State newspaper last year to do an article on a local lake and weather station reported 109 ! Still caught a limit too.

Once you get to the age that heat wilts you and your spirits, night fish or early morning fish. Just don't risk heat stroke.
Once you get heat stroke, you don't get over it without side effects. Speaking from experience. Not worth risking again.
