Usually you throw a miner out and not to long after you catch a crappie weather it be big or small. Every year for 11 years I have spent a weak catching crappie catfish, white bass, etc but when going crappie fishing this year I came up with only 3 keepers and two of the three wear only 10 inches. and one night just killin time I was throwing a rattle trap and I pull up a ten and a quarter crappie..To me I think its time to steep up a notch and throw some thing that you would never expect to catch a crappie on.
