Weiss lake info please

A fishin buddy and I are considering a trip to Weiss on July 5th. So can anyone update me on the water conditions since all the rain today. We're coming from near Birmingham so we don't want to drive up and the lake be muddy and undesirable fishing conditions. Also Where are the fish now, on the river ledges or under the docks? Thanks

The Lake conditions are pretty good right now..."everything is pretty clear" Most of the big rain has missed us so far but it could change at anytime. Decent stringers are coming off channel ledges and deep brush in 12 to 14 feet of water either spider rigging or bottom bumping live bait. Shooting Docks is pretty good also working docks in 8 to 10 feet of water around mid day... Also a few good stringers coming from up river around Riverside with Fly and Cork around the log jams... Hope this helps...!

Thanks so much Kelly. I will be fishing the Bay Springs area since I know my way around there. I don't mind fishing in the rain but I don't like fishing in the mud LOL!!! I will keep a close eye on the weather over night and if the rain don't get too bad we may give it a try. Thanks Again, David Mann.
