2 quest. Jugs/troll poles

I have some jugs, my fishing partner doesn't. Can he use my jugs to catch his fish? We will be tending the free floating jugs together.
Same question concerning trolling poles.
(Hoping to avoid having to add his name temporarily)

I would put his name on the jugs he is using. If you limit out he will need to be able to identify his jugs with name and stuff.

Whoever is fishing those jugs/lines/traps must have THEIR name* plainly labeled on the equipment. So if your friend is harvesting the fish, his name must be on the equipment. Keep in mind that all individuals taking or assisting in the taking (i.e. helping run lines) must have a valid fishing permit on their persons while fishing. Partners helping run lines must be in the presence of the taker (whose name is on the equipment). This is a good time to point out that plainly labeled means that a stranger can read the writing and identify the user. So check your labels and keep them legible, its part of the regulation. (8) Live bait traps, trotlines, throwlines, limb lines, bank lines, jug lines, and live boxes shall be plainly labeled on a durable material with the full name and address or Conservation Number of the person using the equipment.

3CSR 10-20.805 Definitions
(53) Take or taking: Includes killing, trapping, snaring, netting, or capturing in any manner, any wildlife, and also refers to pursuing, molesting, hunting, wounding; or the placing, setting, or use of any net, trap, device, contrivance, or substance in an attempt to take; and every act of assistance to every other person in taking or attempting to take any wildlife.

Same thing with trotlines. We see a lot of abandond lines with no name on them. It gets frustrating when you find a good spot to fish and there is a line there with no name and you can tell it has been left.

At Smithville, the agents will go around periodically and remove old lines.
