Things were very slow at Glen Elder last night too!
Lucky and I hit HD yesterday afternoon. We did great until the moon right and the North East kicked up about 6 pm then the bite shut off like a switch. Still trying to figure out the full moon bite and I think the moon rise kills the bite for a while the closer it is to being full.
Anyway, we fished jigs and minnow on pre/post spawn females and males. Caught about 70 and kept 17. Minnows where out fishing jigs 5 to 1. We found a school of very dark males on the bottom in 12 ft of water on what looked like nests. Just goes to show you the bank isn't the only place they spawn. Females where suspended 12 ft down in 22 ft of water or on the bottom in 16.
Good luck out there.
