Sling a white jig under docks and reel really slow. Went over lake yesterday really muddy and high. Trash everywhere some was tree size. What part of lake u staying on
So apparently I married the ultimate fishermans wife. Last night she picked us out a cabin on Weiss Lake to spend memorial day weekend in. Needless to say I am excited to get to finally get after some Weiss Lake slabs. Problem is that I have never fished there. Any advice or tips on this lake would be appreciated. Color, depth, locations etc etc.... Thanks!!

WaterTurkey85 Not sure what to advise for memorial day weekend it's one of the busiest for weiss with jet fleas and other water sports. So day time fishing might be kinda hard unless you can find a quite cove. If you have boat you might find fish at night under bridges or if your place has dock you might be able to call some in with a light as well if water is deep enough. I'm a dock shooter 90% of time and have to get out pretty early on holidays in order to get a few and beat the speed boats and tidal waves. Good luck! What part of lake you staying?
Jvincent1 The lake level is 564'00 normal summer pool....... not high at all, just right.
Go ahead crappie slab...........Make my day!!!!
Docks,Docks Docks,Docks and more Docks!!!!!!
Thanks a ton for the advice folks..... We are stayin on the north finger just northwest across the water from cedar bluff
Weiss is very dangerous for those that are new to it. You can be in deep water and 20 feet later you are on top of a stump filled flat that is 10 inches deep. Be very careful. Best advice I can give.
