And so I have to ask...who benefits from this monetarily or...more likely...who plans to make a name for themselves as someone who "cares" about boating safety to get reelected?
I just cant make any sense out of this at all..But then again, there is LITTLE to NOTHING this administration does that makes sense.

It's the Corps of Engineers and their arrogance that are the only ones benefitting from this. NOBODY wants it, but the Corps says "screw you and yours, we're gonna do it anyway!". And BTW, my wife is a Federal Govt. employee who will have 5 days upcoming that she will miss work and not be paid due to the budget battles and spending crunch. WHO THE **** IS PAYING FOR THE CORPS' FOOLISHNESS????

Your wife is one of the lucky ones. My mom has worked for the USDA Farm Service agency for 33 years. They will be taking a month long unpaid furlough unless something changes. I have a buddy that is the only firefighter at the local National Wildlife Refuge. We lead the region in wildfires most years, but his job will just disappear.
