Default Nice Crappie (but only one)

Went fishing today at Newman Lake. It was cold but nice to be on the lake again. I managed to land one nice crappie is all. I caught it about 5 minuntes after I started and thought what a day this is going to be. As luck would have it, I never had another hit. I was on the water at 7:00 A.M. and pulled out at noon. She was caught on a white Beetle Spin. And YES! I was wearing my Crappie.com hat.

I stayed on that spot for about 1/2 hour then moved on. At the end of the day, I was going to go back to it, but the wind and rain came up and I had a nasty treble hook caught in my anchor rope. Fret not though, I'll be back to that spot later in the season. I was going to get a picture of the fish in the field, but the battery in my camera gave up the ghost. This year's Maiden Voyage has worked out a lot of kinks.
