Crappie fishing advice

Hi,
I joined this forum because I recently got hooked on crappie fishing. A friend was teaching me and helped me ouch out equipment and took me to a few places to fish. He and I are no longer talking so I was hoping someone who lives in this area could give some advice for someone just learning how to crappie fish.

You did good by joining,you will get a lot of help on here. Where do you usually fish at? And what area are you talking about? Also be a little more specific on what kind of help you need.
