    I've been a reader for sometime and want to say thanks to you fellows for alot of shared knowledge. Fishing for me has always been something to do between deer and turkey season until the last couple of years.I have finally started to catch a few crappie and give up a turkey day here and there for fishing. Trying to figure out the bite has actually turned into fun instead of misery. I'm by no means the caliber of crappie slayer as most on here but hope to be one day. I fish the G from Scottsboro up to the state line 90% of the time. I have the hardest time catching fish after they go shallow,it seems every bay around here has a mud bottom or silt has covered the rocks. Anyway just wanted to say hi and thanks again.

    Sup Ridgestalker the full spawn is close but not quite yet.Find the channels leading to the spawn areas or flats ,lay downs ,sandy rocky bottoms and weed lines.You can catch em 12 inches to 6ft deep when spawning depending on the lake temp and water conditions.
