Default New member, new kayak, no crappies....

Greetings all. Spent about 7 hours around North Sauty today in my new kayak. No crappies but caught a few bass. Had a great day on the water!

Glad you had a good time in your new yak! I know that the powerboats had to be out in full force today. How did you deal with them in your yak? Did you know the water temp? I am leaving for Gville trip in the morning for 5 days.

Fished both sides of hwy 72 from north sauty ramp. Lots of powerboats but most going slow in relatively shallow water. Had to paddle through a few waves but not too bad. Water was showing about 49-50 deg F. Didn't see many fish on the finder but caught 5 bass on my crappie baits in about 6-8 feet. Good luck finding the crappie!
