    Default Fishin the Ozarks

On a normal year, how is the fishing around the 81 mile mark on Lake of the Ozarks?

Trying to find a good place to put a camper that has good fishing right close. I want to be able to leave it at least for extended periods.

    Thanks

What? Nobody fishes Lake of the Ozarks?

How about the Warsaw area? Truman included?

I don't know much a out LOZ in that area. But someone will be along to help you out. Truman is a Great Lake year round and you don't have to mess with the big boats in the summer months. Warsaw may be a good compromise. Would be as to fish the both that way.

Mallard bay(55) mi. marker and little Buffalo Creek(63)mi. are all i know that have year around camper spots, but finding a vacant spot may be hard to get, very limmited,, Like J-15 said Truman?Warsaw area may be a option to look into..

I only have a 18.5' bass boat so I don't really fish LOZ (at least on weekends) after about the first week or two in May. Late September you can get back on the lake without fear of being run down by some yacht that was designed for the ocean and being swamped by 5' waves.

That far up the lake you will not see many big boats what Old Fuzzy said x 1000 that is the best part of the lake.

I have a place up Cole Camp Creek and the fishing is great all year round.. You might call Walt at Lakeside Resort and see if he has any spaces open. Boat ramp and docks all right there. It is at the 79 1/2 mile marker.
