Default HB Version 6.6 DI Image Issue

DI imaging issue noted with latest upgrade. With Sharpness on low, I sometimes get these artifacts as shown on the left photo's right side screen. When I turned off Sharpness, the artifacts went away.

    * Sorry about the photos, I didn't have a SD card in the slot when this popped up and had to use my phone's camera.

I just upgraded to 6.6 on a 798 and, at least in the short term, am well pleased with the improvements in the DI at default settings.

But what if one day you moved away from default and decided to try the DI sharpness feature and you got those white lines? Would you still be pleased or would you want it fixed?

It would be one thing if they didn't want to give us flexibility in adjustment and locked down all settings to some default middle of the road value, but they didn't.

If it's got a setting, I'm the type that will adjust it and see what I see. Right now, I see an issue and am trying to bring it to folks attention.

    Just curious Stymie....

Does this DI clouding issue also happen in the Forced Similator...??

(I'm at work all week and I can't test this)...

I've gotten reports from others on different boards that have seen it in simulator.

i no what your saying about having the flexability to costomize, but all that botton pushing that i do really gets my units wacked up sometimes, then i will have to go back to defaults to get them to work again

At least we have a restore defaults option. And I do use it quite a bit because sometimes I make changes and forget what change I made. Then don't like it and can't figure out how to undo it.

Off topic, but I was doing some web editing for a friend's website a few weeks ago. I made an uh-oh and found out that there was no "undo". What was supposed to be a small tweak resulted in a total revamping of his website. I think its nicer if you want me to be honest about it. What do you think? SHOALS AREA CRAPPIE ASSOCIATION

You get the same "artifact" issue with the sensitivity lower. It seems in 7 fow a fellow should be going the other direction with his sensitivity.

Are you looking at the top photo's white markings from top to bottom on the right side of the screen? If sensitivity was the issue, why is the left part of the screen ok?
