I know some has used their paint but I have not seen any reports about the translucents paints. Maybe some of the members will be able to help you with some info.
Posted this on pouring/painting forum but just hoped to get as many answers as possible. Columbia Coatings advertises some interesting translucent powder paint. Has anyone tried them and if so,with what results?

I have used Columbia Coatings paint and use a silver base coat before applying the translucent color...
I have their transluscent red and teal. I like them very much but use a silver undercoat and not a chrome. It makes a much nicer finished product. My favorite is over Protec's Holographic Silver.
Thanks dad for teaching me to love crappie fishing!!
Here is a picture of the Transluscent Red Lollipop over Holographic Silver. The jighead is actually a BPS Clam Shot on a sickle jig hook.

I have the Translucent Candy Teal and in the pic the center ones which look blue but are actually more of a teal color have a white pearl undercoat - the ones on the right are no undercoat right into the powder
This is Columia's candy Translucent raspberry - straight dip in the powder
