Nice sink full for sure---- was wordering what it was like out there today with the wind blowing like it was....
The wife and I took out today at Larry R Gale on Lake O. We found fish off the main channel mostly, I tried to target areas that were rocky thinking they maybe trying to warm up on a nice day in January. We found fish in the back of docks with brush in them. The crappie were hanging out deep, some liked it right on the bottom even. Depth varied from 16 to 30ft deep. They would not hit the jig if it wasn't tipped with a minnow. My wife tried to be stubborn and not use any because it was making her hands cold because we lost the minnow net. She was getting skunked and decided she would have me fish her minnows out, and then she went on to catch a slab! Thats not right! So either way we had a good first day on the crappie water, been out for smallie's and goggle eyes a couple of times this year but I don't know if I will count those as days on the water yet. The jig color was white and chart, but it didn't matter if you didn't have a minnow on. Supposed to be nasty the next two days but I may still try and go. Good luck everybody.
