    Default Thomas Hill 12-23

Picked up my buddy this morning and headed to Mark Twain, called fishroper to see how he did Saturday and he said they drove down but couldn't put in because of too much ice on the ramps. So my bud and I decide to try T.Hill. The ramp was a little iced over there also and the fellow that put in right behind us had backed in and was unhooking his boat when his pickup started sliding down the ramp, I heard an oh s--t as I saw him jump on the trailer just as the boat stopped, so all ended well. Any way we fished 4 brushpiles with no keepers until we finally found some nice fish. We finally quit with 28 fish 10 in. or better with the 3 best being 14 in. Nice day to be on the water and my buddy is cooking fish for his kids and grandkids for Christmas supper tonite. Fish were in 17 ft. of water and about 13 ft. deep. Black and chartreuase slab busters.

You guys earned that fish fry. The more people that use the ramp the slicker it gets. Congrats with sticking to it and catching some nice fish.

nice report, sounds like a pretty nice day of fishing,,,,, remember the ice melt, for you and the ones who forget, I carry a small sealed can in the boat, for tossing on the ramp on my way to the truck, easier walking, and pre salted for backing down the ramp

Glad you all had a good trip and a great catch to boot.

That was also some good advice from Beagle about the ice melt.
