I forgot to say I caught the striper on a 1/16 oz jig on 10lb test Mr. Crappie.
It started out good this morning with a nice 14" crappie.
Then I found a huge school of bait fish and started spider rigging under them and wham!!! I new it wasn't a crappie when the tip of my pole went under water. I turned the kayak to the direction she wanted to go and went round and round for about 20 minutes, then she finally surfaced and I saw a huge striper. She went back down for about another 10 minutes and after a couple of stabs at her I got my hand in her mouth. She was 36" long and weighed about 20#. My first Striper was a real fight. I took some pictures and released her to fight another day.
Man, that's one nice Striper! I'm sure that was a load of fun! Congrats!

Awesome catch!! I know you had a blast fighting the crappie and the striper. It is amazing that a striper will hit a small jig but I also have caught many striper while crappie fishing. On a small jig and line that is a very nice catch, congrats!
