I have 2 old transducers that need to be removed, in the bottom of my boat so i can install a new one. the are glue with something down to the fiberglass in the back there a pain to get to but I don't have room for anymore with all the pumps back there to.

Is there anything the will release the glue or opoxy thats holding them down, or do I just get the hammer and chisel and bust them up and out?

Be sure to repair the fiberglass when you are done and before you install the new one.

had one in my boat and got lucky, it just fell off. wondered why that DF didn't seem to work right all the time.

That's what I was afraid of, hope that works.

Acetylene and oxygen torch will cut it right out of there!

If you have access to a compressor and an air cut off wheel, I'd try to make vertical slices, maybe 1/4 inch apart down thru the ducer. Then knock the pieces off one at a time. Going at it with a hammer and chisel in one piece could damage something.

Mutli tool with a flat blade is the ticket.
