What part of NC are you fishing. I fish the White Bass run in the ENO/Flatt river in Durham. Wont be long till i get the dust off the ole ultra light. I usually start catching a few, depending on the weather and water depth in Late Feb.

i think that bait would be good but for hybrids down where i am at, you would probably want to downsize the hook
