Sounds like a great day. Dad and I had nice time on the river but no fish and no eagles. Saw one near the entrance to the state park near LaGrange
Took the day off today and headed for Indian Creek. The crappie were really biting good this morning, caught around 25 to 30 fish that were 10 to 11 inchers and a bunch of smaller fish. Didn't catch any big fish just good eaters. It was a beautiful day and light wind. Several eagles flying around. Didn't see but one more boat and they were duck hunting, we loaded about the same time and they said they had a limit of ducks. Very nice young fellows and they offered to help me load my boat. Told them I didn't need any help but thought it was very nice of you guys to ask. Fish were in a little deeper water this week, 25 to 30 ft. but most were 10 ft. deep. Used black and chartreuse slab buster and never had a need to change.
