Default Cheap waterproof digital camrea suggestion?

I have a "decent" digital camera, not really expensive ($175 HP), but not wanting to ruin it either, it takes decent pics, and I'm happy with it. I keep it in a Tupperware container in my Kayak, until it's called in to use. I'm afraid however I'm going to end-up ruining it. Does anyone know of am inexpensive digital camera, that's easy to get pics off of (media card would be great, since that's what I'm used to using), that I could purchase somewhere along my travels that might take a bit of rain, wave spray, or even dropped overboard (I could tether it to the Kayak) and not hurt it? It would be more convenient if I didn't have to fool with taking it out of a container to take say a fish pic, maybe something in the $50-75 range would be great, if such a thing exists.

Have seen where lots of people have the GoPro cameras, must be pretty good but pricey as well. I've seen some waterproof cameras on the web before but don't remember any specific models or names. Google will help alot in narrowing down the choices.

Saw the GoPro earlier, just too pricey for me. I was hoping for someone who owned/used something (less expensive) so I wouldn't be buying "blind". Did a quick Google this AM, but haven't checked-out Amazon yet. Thanks!

OK, I fished around a bit on Amazon, and may have found a cheap solution:

Amazon.com: Polaroid Dive-Rated Waterproof Camera Housing - Protects Virtually Any Ultra Compact Lens Camera: Camera & Photo

I'd be interested in hearing thoughts/input. Would be cheaper than buying a new/second camera. Mostly just wanting to protect it from rain. splash water/set hands, and any thing I might have on my hands, oh...and that unexpected dunk

Pentax W-20 is what I use. Had it 3 years or more, no problems.

For @ $20.00, that camera housing might be the best bet, if the camera fits into it properly.
