Fished yesterday and today. Caught 35 to 40 dinks but only a hand full of keepers. Caught them in 5 to 10 feet deep in 20 to 30 fow
Tried fishing closer to the banks but once I got into less than 18 fow screen was empty and no bites.
WHERE DA BIG FEESH BE?!?!?????!!

fished there yesterday with fishroper in Ely Branch. We noticed fish in 18-22 fow, but caught at 10-12 ft down. We had only one small one, probably 6 or7 inches, but had 3 nice fish. several hits, and like you, if we got too shallow, screen blanked out.

Yes sir, that was me. Small crappie world!!
I'm not bitchin' about the dinks as it was great to be catchin' some fish again. I tried going deeper to see if the big'uns were farther down in the water column, but as soon as I'd get past 12 feet in depth the bite would stop.
Had a blast the last 2 days though catching the little guys.
Thanks again for the fish...they were delicious!!!!!
