Default What happens when plastic grubs melt or get oil on them

I have a number of plastic grubs, tubes, worms etc that some are getting oil
or something coming out of them. Can I wipe them down and use them or are
they nothing but trash. I have a number of them and hate to toss them. What can I do with them? Anyway to clean them up and use??
    Thanks

I would clean them up and use them. I found about 30, 2" grubs in the dirt by a dock I was fishing about a mounth ago. I put them in a sock, tied a rubberband around the sock and ran them through the wash with a load of clothes. Cleaned up nice. I use them. OH, and I have caught some fish with them

what I think is happening, is they are drying up ... and shrinking ... causing the oils they're made with, to exude from them. Wipe them off, so as to remove any cross contamination of other scents, oils, or dirt. Then splash a little non-petroleum based, scented, oil for plastics on them ... and bag them up. They should still be good to use. ........ cp

Swish them around in a bowl of dishwashing liquid and water until they are squeaky clean, then put them in a baggie and spray garlic flavored cooking spray oil (like Pam) on them or Bang fish attractant in shad flavor.
