I am going to be camping at Osage bluff this weekend..not familiar with Truman more of a family trip but going to do some crappie fishing. Any tips on where they are biting would be appreciated
Good luck....haven't been down in a while, and not really familiar with that part of the lake. Talk to the marina guys there. If they are anything like the Bucksaw guys, they will give you some good tips. This time of year crappie can be moving up into the creeks and coves chasing shad. If you like bigger baits, don't be afraid to try them now, and for depth I would try all levels down to about 14'. You may find them as shallow as 2', and you may find them laying on the bottom. If you go through Clinton on your way, stop in at Everhart's. They will probably have as good a report as anyone, and they can sell you any bait you want.
