I got on the water around 10:00AM, bounced back and forth between my kayak and the truck until the rain finally stopped for good around 1:00PM. Lily Pond has dropped a foot, the remaining water is only 18 inches deep at the deepest spots. There’s still fish trapped in the slough, but they’re nervous with the shallow water and lack of cover. You see fish scattering 50 feet ahead of you. I only caught 70 or 80 Crappie today. Kept 15 and tossed the rest back. Pink and Pearl Bobby Garlands on 1/16 oz jig heads seemed to work best once again.
