I've been using the 3 in version for a couple of years now and just started using the smaller size for the last month and a half.Tail action is great and you can make up any color you want.I make them alittle softer than the store bought ones and after a few fish ,you have to replace them but the tail moves all the time no mater how slow you move the jig.I fish them on a 1/64 oz.head on a #6 hook(as long as not much wind)Seems to be the right combo.
