Labor Day Wappapello Report.
Not too good!!! Started out spider rigging river channels. Marked a lot of fish but only caught a few on minnows. Put away the spider poles and went old school. Started single polling sunken brush piles. Bingo!!! The better fish seemed to be on the wood today. Had the best luck in 7-12 feet of water. Orange jig head with a Slab Bandit body. The best colors were Jokers Wild, River Cane and Warmouth!!! They all have chartruce with some kind of sparkle. Only caught 10 keepers but it was good to feel the thump again.
Talked to Talltimber. He and his daughter were doing a little jug fishing. They left with a mess of whisker fish. It was good to see you again Brad!!!
