I would be interested, I'm in Weedsport.
let's see who wants to get together.
check out main crappie thread "how to start a club" and check out the links on clubs in alabama and indiana they have some ideas on clubs.
don't know how far the "new yorkers" want to go but if interested respond and give locations.

Its sounds like fun guys but my summer is packed with camp and kids games of some sort all over cny.. I'm out for now...
I'm interested, in Cato.
I have the same problem as Eddie though. Booked solid with stuff to the point I'm hardly getting out fishing at all and will have trouble getting out hunting this year too.
I'm thinking spring would be a good time - when the crappie are really active ... Thoughts?
Interested, from Fulton. Oswego County. I am into going just about anywhere. Maybe a fall or even hardwater gathering? I am probably heading out to Port Bay tomorrow to test my luck
I live in Geneva, anyone know of any good spots. I've caught a few nice crappie out of the Canandaigua Outlet. May's Point is good, and even a few from behind Wegmans in Canandaigua.
I fish mostly out of my kayak and I don't have a boat. I've had my eye on a pond north of town (Burnett Pond), but I'm not sure what's really in there.
The Fall bite is ready to kick off, lets get'em.
Good Luck, and Tight Lines.
hey this is a start maybe if chief or me can locate some up this way we can get together at least for a day and meet some fellow crappie fishermen. took granddaughter today only kept 3 craps several just under 9" along with some gills perch etc. had a good meal with her tonight. hpefully we'll add to this group. thanks,

My buddy Joey just joined 6 weeks ago. I'll talk to him, He's a fishing Nut. His Dad lives in Auburn, and they fish the Seneca River for Crappie.
I went to May's Point (west side of 89) yesterday, fished for a few hours. Current is nice and slow. Bait fish are jumping up everywhere, plus it's a Full Moon.
Should be good night fishing.
funny how everyone says they are "booked" but a lot of that "booking" should be taking your kids fishing not to soccer practice that will be useless to them later in life - sorry, had to rant because some priorities are screwed up these days - you don't really get to spend any quality time with your kids during these so called "booked" appointments
